Duke is a private research university in Durham, North Carolina. Founded by Methodists and Quakers in the present-day town of Trinity in 1838, the school moved to Durham in 1892. In 1924, tobacco and electric power industrialist James Buchanan Duke established The Duke Endowment and the institution changed its name to honor his deceased father, Washington Duke.
Duke’s campus spans over 8,600 acres (3,500 ha) on three contiguous sub-campuses in Durham as well as a marine lab in Beaufort. The main campus—designed largely by architect Julian Abele—incorporates Gothic architecture with the 210-foot (64 m) Duke Chapel at the campus’ center and highest point of elevation. East Campus contains Georgian-style architecture, while West Campus—home to athletics facilities, student housing, and the new West Union building—features neo-Gothic architecture.

texas tech may not be as well-known as Duke, but the team is definitely not to be underestimated. They have proved their skills on the court time and time again, making it all the way to the NCAA National Championship in 2019. This year, they are looking just as strong and are definitely a team to watch out for.

Texas Tech has one of the most explosive offenses in the country, averaging over 86 points per game. They have a star point guard in Jarrett Culver, who is averaging 19 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 assists per game. On the other side, Duke is a very well-rounded team. They don’t have any superstars, but they have a lot of solid players that can score, rebound, and play defense. They are averaging just over 80 points per game.
In this matchup, I think Texas Tech has the edge. Their offense is simply too much for Duke to handle. I’m predicting a final score of 92-88 in favor of Texas Tech.
