Introduction
virginia tech is a large university with a student body of over 34,000. The size of the university can be intimidating to some, but it also provides a lot of opportunities for students to get involved. There are over 600 student organizations on campus, so there is sure to be something for everyone. In addition, the university offers a variety of academic programs and research opportunities.

In Fall of 2019, the university had a total of 33,719 students enrolled. The school has an undergraduate enrollment of 25,173 and a graduate enrollment of 8,546. The gender ratio is fairly even with 50.7% of the students being female and 49.3% being male.
