In-State Undergraduate
In-state undergraduate tuition at texas tech university is $7,500 per semester. This does not include fees, books, or housing. Out-of-state undergraduate tuition is $19,500 per semester. This does not include fees, books, or housing.
Base Tuition
texas tech University charges all undergraduate students a base tuition rate each semester. The base tuition rate is currently $4,740 per semester for residents of Texas and $9,480 per semester for non-residents of Texas. In addition to the base tuition rate, all students are also charged a student services fee each semester.
Estimated Cost of Attendance
The cost of attendance (COA) is an estimate of what it will cost you to attend texas tech university as a full-time, first-time undergraduate student for one academic year. Your actual COA may be higher or lower depending on your individual circumstances. The Office of Financial Aid also factors in your estimated financial aid to give you your net cost of attendance.

-Personal and incidental expenses
Out-of-State Undergraduate
After you have been admitted to Texas Tech, you will receive an I-20 form from us. This form is very important because it proves that you are a student and that you have been admitted to our school. The I-20 form is also used to get a student visa. If you are an out-of-state undergraduate student, you will need to pay tuition and fees of $28,828 per semester.
Base Tuition
As an out-of-state undergraduate, your tuition & fees will be $23,854 for the 2017-2018 academic year. This does not include any additional course-related fees for certain classes.
Estimated Cost of Attendance
The Estimated Cost of Attendance (COA) is an estimate of what it will cost a student to attend Texas Tech University for an academic year. The COA includes tuition & fees, books & supplies, housing, food, transportation, and other personal expenses.
For undergraduate students enrolled in 12-18 credit hours during the fall or spring semesters:

As a state resident, your tuition and fees will be $10,002 per semester. If you’re an out-of-state resident, your tuition and fees will be $28,804 per semester. Remember, these are just tuition and fees. Your total cost of attendance will be higher because it includes other expenses like room and board, books and supplies, transportation and personal expenses.
