I bought a pair of the original Chips about three years ago, and while I liked that they were small and light, I quickly got frustrated with how often they would fall out of my ears. After losing one on a chairlift and having to go without music for the rest of the day, I decided enough was enough and vowed to never use them again.

How to turn them on
Number one rule: do not put these in your mouth. The Outdoor Tech Chips 2.0 Bluetooth earbuds are not for eating. We’ll say it again for the kids in the back, DO NOT PUT IN YOUR MOUTH. No one wants to see that and we definitely don’t want to hear about it.
Now that we’ve gotten that out of the way, let’s move on to more pressing matters like turning these little puppies on so you can enjoy some tunes without wires getting in the way. Just follow these simple steps and you’ll be on your way to cordless greatness.
1) Find the power button on the right earpiece. It should be easy to spot because it’s big and says “power” on it.
2) Press and hold the power button for two seconds until you see a white light blink and then stay lit. This means the earbuds are turned on and ready to pair with your device.
3) If you want to turn them off, just press and hold the power button for two seconds again until the light goes out. That’s all there is to it!
How to put them in pairing mode
First, you will need to put your Outdoor Tech Chips 2.0 into pairing mode. To do this, press and hold the multifunction button for 3 seconds. The LED light will blink red and white to indicate that it is in pairing mode.
Once your Outdoor Tech Chips 2.0 are in pairing mode, you will need to put your Bluetooth device into pairing mode as well. Please consult your device’s documentation on how to do this.
Once both devices are in pairing mode, they should automatically connect to each other within a few seconds. If they do not, you can try connecting them manually by going into your Bluetooth settings and selecting “Outdoor Tech Chips 2.0” from the list of available devices.
How to connect to them
To connect to your Chips 2.0, first make sure that the headphone is in Bluetooth mode. Power on your headphones by holding down the multi-function button until you see a white LED light. The headphones will automatically enter pairing mode and you will hear an audible voice prompt saying “power on”.
On your device, go to the Bluetooth settings and select “Chips 2.0” from the list of available devices. If prompted, enter the passcode “0000” to complete the pairing process. You will hear an audible voice prompt saying “connected” when the connection is successful.
