Notre Dame has had a strong season so far, with their only loss coming against #1 Clemson. They will be looking to bounce back from that loss and pick up a big win against Virginia Tech. The Hokies, on the other hand, are coming off of a big win against then-#22 Boston College. They will be looking to continue their winning ways against Notre Dame.

Game Preview
Notre Dame and Virginia Tech will face off in Blacksburg on Saturday in what should be an electric atmosphere at Lane Stadium. The game will be a battle of two of the top teams in the ACC, as both programs are currently undefeated in conference play.
The Fighting Irish are coming off a big win over then-No. 14 Syracuse, while the Hokies defeated Pittsburgh last week. These two teams met last year in South Bend, with Notre Dame coming out on top 19-14.
Notre Dame is led by its defense, which ranks sixth in the country in points allowed per game (13.8). The Hokies offense will have its hands full against a unit that features two potential first-round picks in defensive end Julian Okwara and linebacker Te’von Coney.
On the other side of the ball, Notre Dame’s offense is led by quarterback Ian Book, who has thrown for 1,824 yards and 16 touchdowns this season. The Fighting Irish will need Book to be at his best against a Virginia Tech defense that is allowing just 17 points per game, which ranks seventh nationally.
