The next Virginia Tech Mascot was “Hokie III”, who served from 1984 until his retirement in 1986. “Hokie IV” served from 1986 until his retirement in 1989. The next Virginia Tech Mascot was “Trapdoorspic”, who served from 1989 until 1993 when he was replaced by “Hokiesaurus”. Hokiesaurus only served for one year before being retired and replaced by ” VT Digit”. VT Digit only served for two years before the current Virginia Tech Mascot, HokieBird, took over in 1997.
