The process
The georgia tech admissions process is a holistic and selective one, and we take many factors into consideration when making our decisions. While your academic record is the most important part of your application, we also consider your demonstrated interest, essays, recommendations, and extracurricular involvements. We review applications on a rolling basis, so there is no one specific decision release date. Instead, decisions will come out gradually throughout the admission cycle.
Checking the status of your application
georgia tech will send notifications of admission decisions via email and regular mail beginning in mid-March. You can check the status of your application online by logging in to the applicant portal. For up-to-date information, please check the Admissions Timeline.
When decisions are released
Decisions for most applicants will be released online through the Applicant Status Portal on a rolling basis beginning in mid-March. A small number of applicants may be selected for an interview before a decision is rendered.
How to check your decision
You can check your application decision online through the Georgia Tech Applicant Portal. To do so, log in to your account and click on the “Admissions” tab. Then, click on the “View Your Decision” link. Your admission decision will be displayed on the next page.

No matter when you apply, though, you can expect a decision within a few weeks.
