Regular Decision

If you apply to georgia tech Regular Decision, you will receive your admission decision by mid-March. We will notify you of our decision by mail and also update your application status online. You can check your application status online to find out if we have received all of your materials and if your file is complete.

The deadline is November 1

If you apply by the Regular Decision deadline of November 1, you will receive a decision by mid- to late-March. We encourage all students to complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) as soon after October 1 as possible. You do not need to wait for your admissions decision to complete the FAFSA. For more information about financial aid, please visit the Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid website.

Decisions will be released in mid- to late-December

We will begin sending out regular decision notifications in mid- to late-December. You can check your application status on the Applicant Self-Service site. Please do not contact the admissions office to inquire about the status of your application; we will contact you as soon as a decision has been made.

Early Action

The georgia tech admissions committee will release decisions for applicants who applied under our Early Action program on a rolling basis beginning in mid-December. We will continue to release decisions until all files are complete, usually by late February. If you applied Early Action and have not received a decision by late February, contact the Office of Undergraduate Admissions.

The deadline is October 15

Early Action is a non-binding admission program for freshmen applicants who have completed their junior year of high school. Applicants who submit a complete admissions application, including all required documents, by the October 15 deadline will receive an admission decision by December 24.

You may apply to other colleges under Early Action or Rolling Admission plans, but you may not apply to more than one college or university under our Early Action program.

Decisions will be released in early December

Georgia Tech uses a rolling admission process, meaning that decisions are released on a rolling basis starting in early December. You can check your application status online to see if a decision has been made on your application.
