What is Early Action?
Early Action is a non-binding program for students who have completed their junior year of high school. Students who apply Early Action will receive their admissions decision earlier than those who apply Regular Decision.

You are not required to commit to attending Georgia Tech if you are admitted through Early Action, but if you know that you definitely want to attend Georgia Tech, you can let us know by submitting your Enrollment Deposit by the deadline listed on your admissions decision letter.
What is the difference between Early Action and Regular Decision?
The biggest difference between our Early Action and Regular Decision programs is the timeline. For students applying Regular Decision, we will begin releasing admissions decisions in mid-March. For students applying Early Action, we release decisions in mid-December. Other than the timeline, both programs are exactly the same—there is no advantage or disadvantage to applying Early Action or Regular Decision.
