Originally founded in New York City in 1944, the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) is a public college of art and design, part of the State University of New York (SUNY) system. FIT offers more than forty majors leading to the Bachelor of Fine Arts or Associate in Applied Science degrees, as well as non-degree programs and doctoral degrees in cosmetics and fragrances.
