The Duke Blue Devils faced off against the texas tech Red Raiders in the NCAA Men’s Basketball National Championship game on April 8th, 2019. The game was a close one, with the lead changing hands several times throughout. Ultimately, Duke came out on top, winning by a score of 71-69.
Both teams played well defensive throughout the game, with neither team managing to build up a significant lead. Duke started the game strong, taking an early lead. However, texas tech quickly battled back and took the lead midway through the first half. The two teams went back and forth for the rest of the half, with neither team able to build up more than a 4 point lead. The score at halftime was Duke 32 – texas tech 28.
In the second half, Duke managed to take control of the game and build up a 7 point lead with just over 8 minutes remaining in the game. However, Texas Tech would not give up, and they battled back to take the lead with less than 2 minutes remaining. In the end, Duke made some key free throws down the stretch to seal the victory.
The final score of the game was Duke 71 – Texas Tech 69. For Duke, this is their seventh national championship in men’s basketball!

Texas Tech University, also known as TTU, is located in Lubbock, Texas. The school mascot is the Red Raiders and the school colors are scarlet and black. The university was founded in 1923 and has an enrollment of over 36,000 students.
