Halo Infinite is the latest entry in the Halo franchise, and it’s currently in development by 343 Industries. The game was originally announced at E3 2018, and it’s set to release on Xbox One and PC. While we don’t yet have a release date for Halo Infinite, 343 Industries has said that the game will be released “when it’s ready.”
In the meantime, Microsoft has released a Halo InfiniteTech Preview, which is available to download now. The Tech Preview includes an early version of the game’s campaign mode, as well as a multiplayer map called Truth. Here’s how to download the Halo Infinite Tech Preview on Xbox One and PC.
What is the Halo Infinite Tech Preview?
The Halo Infinite Tech Preview is a way for gamers to get an early look at Halo Infinite before it releases. It’s also a way for developers to get feedback on the game. To participate in the Halo Infinite Tech Preview, you’ll need to sign up and download the preview build. Here’s how you can do that.
Features
The Halo InfiniteTech Preview is a vertical slice* of Halo Infinite that showcases some of the upcoming game’s features. It includes the opening campaign mission, as well as a taste of the multiplayer sandbox. The purpose of the Tech Preview is to allow our community to check out our work in progress and give us feedback that will shape the final game.
The Tech Preview is only available for a limited time, and will be released on December 14, 2020. It will be available to everyone who owns Halo 5: Guardians on Xbox One or Windows 10 PC, or who has played Halo 5: Guardians through Xbox Game Pass.

*A “vertical slice” is a small section of a game that includes all of the game’s major systems and gameplay elements.
System Requirements
The Halo Infinite Technical Preview is currently available on Windows 10 PC only and features support for DX12, 120 FPS in campaign, and Ultra settings at 4K resolution.
Here are the system requirements for the Halo Infinite Technical Preview:
Minimum:
– CPU: Intel i3-3225 or AMD Ryzen 5 1400
– GPU: Nvidia GTX 660 2GB or AMD Radeon HD 7850 2GB
– Memory: 8GB RAM
– Storage: 35GB available hard drive space.
Recommended for 1080p/60 FPS:
– CPU: Intel i5-3570K or AMD Ryzen 5 1600X
– GPU: Nvidia GTX970 4GB or AMD Radeon RX580 8GB
– Memory: 16GB RAM.
We also recommend 55GB of free storage for optimal performance and full texture resolution. Note that you will need to have Windows 10 version 1903 (OS Build 18362.145) or higher installed to run the Technical Preview build. If you do not have this version, you will need to install it before running the Technical Preview build. The Technical Preview build is approximately 21 GB.
How to Download the Halo Infinite Tech Preview
Halo Infinite is coming out soon and you can get a taste of the action early by downloading the Halo Infinite Tech Preview. Here’s how you can do it.
Step One: Sign Up for the Halo Insider Program
The Halo Infinite Tech Preview is only available to members of the Halo Insider Program. If you’re not already a Halo Insider, you can sign up for free at halowaypoint.com/halo-insider.
Once you’ve signed up for the Halo Insider Program, you’ll need to wait for an invitation to the Tech Preview from 343 Industries. These invitations will be sent out on a first-come, first-serve basis, so it’s important to keep an eye on your inbox and act quickly when you receive your invite.
Step Two: Check Your Email and Download the Halo Infinite Tech Preview
You should have received an email with a link to the Halo Infinite Tech Preview. If you didn’t get an email, make sure to check your spam folder. The email will be coming from [email protected]
Once you find the email, click the link to begin downloading the Halo Infinite Tech Preview. The download is around 4GB, so it might take a little while depending on your internet connection.
