Bobby Dodd Stadium at Historic Grant Field is the football stadium located at the corner of North Avenue at Techwood Drive on the campus of the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta. It has been home to the georgia tech Yellow Jackets football team, often referred to as “the Ramblin’ Wreck”, in rudimentary form since 1905 and as a complete stadium since 1913. The team participates in the NCAA Division I Football Bowl Subdivision as a member of the Atlantic Coast Conference and plays its home games in Bobby Dodd Stadium. The facility is located north of Midtown Atlanta, approximately one mile from Amtrak’s Atlanta station.

Georgia Tech’s football stadium, Bobby Dodd Stadium at Historic Grant Field, is the oldest continuously used site for college football in the Southern united states The stadium sits on the site of a former city dump that was purchased in 1913 by the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia with the intent of building a new facility for what was then Georgia School of Technology. The original stadium, which cost $22,000 to build, opened on October 12, 1913 with 7,600 in attendance to watch Tech play Presbyterian College. It has been revised and renovated many times since its original construction, most recently in 2002 when it was reconfigured to its current seating capacity of 55,000.
